Our Company History
 |
The story of TLC Beatrice International of New York is legendary and widely published in business journals and proudly taught in major universities and with the opening of the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, soon to be taught in the baltimore public school system.
TLC Beatrice International involved the first African American to become Chairman and CEO of a billion-dollar global company through a leveraged buyout in the late 1980s. Reginald F. Lewis, Chairman and CEO, is the older brother of the founder of TLC Springwater of Maryland, Anthony Fugett. Prior to starting TLC Springwater of Maryland, Anthony honed his executive management skills, working under the tutelage of his older brother, Reginald F. Lewis, who sadly passed before his time, and his earlier 15-year career as a marketing executive with the IBM Corporation.

After several years of working in and researching the bottled water industry trends, Anthony organized TLC Spring Water of Maryland. Mr. Fugett structured the company based on his prior experience and knowledge gained about the industry working under the tutelage of his older brother Reginald, when TLC Beatrice had two water bottling companies in Belgium and The Netherlands. It was during this time Anthony, already a successful entrepreneur who had founded a successful technology company, worked side-by-side with his brother and quickly realized the potential and future growth of the bottled water industry. The Ohio Division of TLC is owned and operated by Mr. Kazell Pugh who leverages the resources and strategies of TLC Maryland to market within Northeast Ohio and surrounding regions. |
